The situation
Femme Connection is a fashion retailer with the problem most retailers at that scale have: plenty of data, spread across a stack that was never designed to be read as one thing. Sales in one place, customers in another, stock in a third, lifecycle in a fourth.
The problem
The team was not short of dashboards. It was short of decisions. Producing a single view of what was actually happening took days of manual work, which meant it happened rarely, which meant most decisions were made on partial information or instinct.
This is the failure mode that looks like a tooling problem and is really an architecture problem. Adding another dashboard would have made it worse.
The decision
Build the intelligence layer rather than buy another reporting tool. Connect the existing stack into one operating picture, and design it around the decisions the leadership team actually makes each week rather than around the metrics the tools happened to expose.
The work
A data intelligence hub reading live customer and commercial data as one system.
Lifecycle work built on top of that view, so what the data revealed could be acted on in-channel rather than filed.
Designed, built and shipped with Antimony Studio.
The result
Net profit up 64% across the two years since.
63 NPS.
The pattern proved durable enough to productise. Selenium exists because this worked.
Most businesses do not need more reporting. They need the reporting they already have to resolve into one picture, pointed at the decisions someone actually has to make on Monday.
