Demand creation
Demand creation is marketing that makes someone realise they have a problem, as opposed to competing for people who are already shopping for a solution.
Most go-to-market budgets are spent on demand capture: search, comparison pages, retargeting. That is the crowded, expensive end of the market, because everyone is bidding for the same buyer at the same moment.
The larger market has the problem and has not named it yet. Content that names the problem clearly is how you become the reason a search happens weeks later, rather than one of six results when it does.
It is slower and it compounds. Capture spikes and stops.
